Registered hotel guests are invited to enjoy the luxuriance and diversity of our little piece of paradise, independently and/or as part of the complimentary escorted nature and coffee tour. Our tropical mountain habitat, about 35 kilometres from the Caribbean and 60 kilometres from the Pacific Ocean, is unique. The result is a complex ecological blend of mid-elevation tropical mountain forest flora. At just under 1300 metres (4,200 feet), we have an ideal environment for the cultivation of traditional arabica coffee under a canopy of mature native forest. Substantial stands of original sub-tropical forest are maintained throughout our hotel grounds. Over 50 species of large indigenous trees are botanically classified; including rare Mexican Elms. |
